Oceanus (Ashrafieh)

Oceanus in Ashrafieh is one of two restaurants owned and managed by Fish importers and wholesalers Rebeiz Brothers (Rebeiz Frères s.a.r.l) and their partner. This relatively small place seating not more than 30-35 specialises in sea food.

It features two menus, a sushi menu that is not pricey and offers an unsurprising selection of bites, different kind of raw fish salads, starters, ura wraps, maki, sushi and Sashimi. The menu's particular strength is the larger variety of set meals for one or two persons ( and the party boats of up to 121 pieces for ... well ... a party).

The international menu takes its inspiration from all over the world and offers a great variety of meals. Among other this includes Asian shrimp dishes, fish and chips, fish kebbe stuffed with shrimp, Coquilles Saint Jaques, different grilled fishes, as well as choices for those of your guest not looking to eat fish. In addition there is a Plat du Jour that is never a bad choice, but rather satisfying.

Be it the sushi or items for the international menu the food is tasty and well prepared, there are no aspirations to earn Michelin stars, but between the very solid quality and the generous portions you are getting very good value for money. This restaurant is for all occasions and won't disappointed, but you are likely to have to book a little in advance if you want to get a table (though alternatively there is delivery).
