If you' re looking for free activities around Beirut and you're a fan of the movies, this one's for you. In an effort to provide a sustainable support structure for video production by artists and filmmakers in Lebanon, Ashkal Alwan has established Video Works as a screening and grant program in 2006. Now in its fifth edition, the event will take place at Empire Sofil movie Theater in Ashrafieh from June 9th to June 11th 2015 and will feature original new works by Haig Aivazian, Vartan Avakian, Mohammed Berro, Maeve Brennan, Stéphanie Ghazal, Maxime Hourani, May Kassem, Nadim Tabet and Karine Wehbé, Raed Yassin.
