You wouldn’t name French crepes after an Italian guy? After you taste Tonino’s crepes, you won’t want to change anything about it!
The original kiosk opened on Bliss street- Hamra years ago. Two steps away from the American University of Beirut Main Gate and true-to-Bliss-Street form, the place became a popular student hub. Crepe-hungry young folk would queue for what seemed like forever – have you ever met a hungry student? It’s not pretty.- to get their mouth on one of Tonino’s sweet or savory delights. Named after Italian men and women (The men for the sweet and the women for the salty. We’ll think about that one later.), each crepe is a unique concoction made with the most decadent toppings. Choose between plain old dark or white chocolate or go for the infinitely more interesting Kinder, Nutella, Flakes or Snickers to name a few. Not a chocolate fan? We wont judge though we think you’re crazy; try honey, jam or sugar and butter. Don’t’ forget the add-ons! From bananas to nuts to biscuits, nothing you could imagine hasn’t already been granted in the form of a beautiful Italian man. We’re currently in a long-term relationship with Gonzalo with the occasional passionate affairs with Marco, Alberto and Enrico. As for the ladies, Manuela-cheese-and-ham and Lucciana-cheese-and-turkey are good friends. With four other locations in Lebanon (the latest is a branch in Ashrafieh as well as three in Saida, Dora-city mall, Broumana and Hamra), there’s no excuse not to try Tonino’s crepes! Should you be more of a waffle person, guess what? They serve waffles too. Just as we said. No excuse.
