An award-winning eatery and high end cafe that's both classy and casual.
Hailed for their consistency in both service and high end cafe cuisine, C&G exudes elegance without being pretentious. Customers know to expect quality and wholesome meals served by an attentive staff. A solid selection of pizza, pasta and sandwiches exist to satisfy lunch hunger pangs. They also have a fresh and varied selection of ingredients in their salad bar.
The Gourmet Mini Sliders give your tastebuds a multicultural trip: the Halloumi burger pays tribute to its Mediterranean roots, the second boasts provolone while the final contender flaunts a Mexican touch with its mango, avocado and Emmental cheese. What these three mini-burgers lack in size they make up for in flavor.
The Traditional Fish and Chips do not disappoint either. (C&G seems to be one of the few places in Beirut to serve that particular dish, as far as I know.) They’ve recently added a modest selection of hand rolled sushi for raw fish freaks (you know who you are) so that nobody feels excluded.
Most of us can agree that dessert makes or break a restaurant experience. Their famous Bernadette’s chocolate cake drizzled in rich chocolate sauce is rumored to be a tremendous explosion of yumminess. Try that or their cheesecake for a sweet finale.
Expect to find a crowd of professionals on lunch breaks and the occasional university student frequenting this eatery.
