Hands-down some of the finest fine-dining experiences in Beirut: just be sure you can stomach the bill that goes along with it!
Burgundy is the epitomy of cool. And when we say cool, we don’t mean in the laid-back sneakers, jeans and Steve Jobs kind-of way. We mean more the private jet Michelin star kind. Prepare to be dazzled. By the setting, by the service, by the cuisine and by the dent in your pocket.
Located in the upmarket area of Saifi, the low-key entrance is your first glimpse at serious luxury. This isn’t your new-money extravagant exterior. You could pass by Burgundy’s door and give the glass window no more than a fleeting glance. It’s that good. That secure in what it has to offer. The elegant interiors are characterized by striking light installations, a long bar, wooden chairs and an overall industrial feel that is uber-chic. The service is impeccable with knowledgeable stealth staff. The French cuisine-what else?- is made with the freshest ingredients. Dishes are creative yet centered on the usual suspect high-end fare: Black Cod, Wagyu Beef and Jamon Iberico have all made it to the party.
Their plus ones? The finest French wines of course! Every detail at Burgundy is crafted to guarantee you have a memorable experience. Every detail save one. Well actually, you’ll remember that one too…just probably not the way you would have hoped. I'm talking about the check, in case you didn’t get the hint. You may want to run for the hills for that one. So unless you actually are one of those who own a private jet or Mr/Mrs Michelin himself/herself, you might want to save Burgundy for a special occasion. A very special occasion.
