This tiny coffee shop in Beirut Souks has been on the grid of shoppers and business people for anything from a morning coffee to a casual lunch or a tasty dessert.
Located next to TSC in Beirut souks, you are likely to notice Grid most on a sunny day where the crowd scrambles to find seats in the outdoor seating area of the café and enjoy those warm rays that offer respite from the dreariness of shops and offices. The fluorescent orange installation facing the place is an eye-catcher, making Grid a go-to destination for those coveted shopping or work breaks.
This self-service coffee house provides the usual range of coffee preparations with a particularly good Americano. In addition to coffee, Grid’s menu includes fresh sandwiches, croissants, bagels and delectable desserts- their cookies are some of the tastiest we’ve had around town-.
The staff is slightly hands-off but the casual vibe, the newspapers on stands and the relaxing couches all beckon a no fuss no frill attitude that is characteristic of the place. Next time you’re in the Souks and craving an afternoon coffee on the go, be sure to stop by Grid. Grid has two other branches in Zaytouna Bay and inside Antoine Library in the Souks.
