Discrimination

Hello,
I have never liked places where people are expected to meet certain standards just to be allowed in. However, what happened yesterday was completely unacceptable.
Your employee refused to let me in because, according to him, I was dressed too casually. I was already out clubbing with my friends at a place that was far more classy than yours, and yet I was treated as though I did not belong.
What was even more disturbing was witnessing the double standards at your entrance: girls wearing tennis outfits, flip-flops, shorts and ripped jeans, people dressed in highly inappropriate outfits, and people openly using drugs. I also noticed the smell of weed, underage drinking, and people behaving in ways that clearly contradict the “standards” apparently imposed on certain customers.
Your employee even told me that I had upset him. Yes, I did—because I refused to accept being treated disrespectfully and unfairly at the door.
I am a 47-year-old mother of two who was simply meeting my cousins. A decent woman should not be humiliated or judged at the door based on what she is wearing, especially when the same standards clearly do not apply to everyone.
I will be taking this matter further and reporting what happened, including the discriminatory and unacceptable treatment I experienced.
