The Cronut lands in Beirut

In 2013 a pastry chef by the name of Dominique Ansel had the bright idea of merging a donut and a croissant.  He trademarked it and built a quasi empire around it as the frenzy exploded from New York. Today Cronuts are sold all around the world with people lining up in bad weather to get their fix.  Le Kronut in Hamra is true to the original and offers the plain Cronut with 6 additions ranging from savoury cheese to vanila, jam and chocolate champagne.  Yum
